This month our group hop is an ANYTHING GOES theme - so you will see a variety of projects featuring many different Close To My Heart Products from our Spring/Summer Idea Book.
If you're joining me from Natalies Scrappy Sassy Studio then you're on the right track. You will find a complete list of participants at the bottom of my post!
Now on to the goodness that is papercrafting in all it's many forms. While Close To My Heart is primarily a stamping and scrapbooking focused company, the products lend themselves to many different applications. As one that likes to mess around with different techniques and applications I have recently fallen in love with "art journaling". Essentially art journaling is a variety of ways to create art - bundled typically into a journal type book. It really is a 'one of a kind' sort of art with no rhyme, reason or rules. AND A LOT OF FUN TOO!
I wanted to share some projects that have made my heart sing. They are not "typical" stamping and scrapbooking projects and sometimes use products in ways that you wouldn't initially think to.
This first project was an 8 x 8 canvas. I used RE-INKERS in our SPRAY BOTTLES (misters) as well as our rose ribbon (retired) and a bit of bling with the sparkle button. Papers used for the gal are our cardstock which holds up well to repeated spraying with water and applications of paint and art mediums. Also used but not obvious is the Artbooking cricut cartridge! WHAT YOU SAY..... yes I made a stencil from light weight plastic using one of the overlays from Artbooking.

My next project was a labour of love involving more Re-Inkers as well as our fabulous 2" font Marquee, our awesome cardstock and basic markers as well. Liquid Glass is also a wonderful adhesive for those hard to stick items!
The idea behind my sharing today is to remind you that your supplies, those trusted and true stamping and scrapbooking items can be crossed over to other papercrafting goodness as well.
Thanks for hopping with us..... please pop over to Get Scrappin' with Fami for more fun!
